There are two main circumstances when this kit provides a simple solution. The first is for older people where property was traditionally acquired in the name of the husband alone. Conventions have changed and there is a practical benefit in having title to land held jointly by both spouses – it saves having to get probate twice and therefore saves a lot of money and unnecessary complications. The second is when property is acquired before marriage and continues to remain in one name alone but can be simply transferred into the joint names of husband and wife.
